Close friend shares Müslüm Gürses's 'last words'
Müslüm Gürses passed away 11 years ago. A close friend of the artist, who died at the age of 59, has shared his final words before his passing.
Gürses underwent bypass surgery in November 2012. Following the operation, he was moved to intensive care due to lung and heart failure and was placed on a ventilator. Gürses passed away on March 3, 2013.
Yusuf Ziya Oran, one of the people closest to Müslüm Gürses, shared the artist's final words before he lost his life.
"IT SCARES ME"
Oran revealed that Müslüm Gürses had recorded his new song "Veda" (Farewell) in the studio one day before the surgery and expressed his feelings at that moment as follows: "He was in the studio for his album project one day before the surgery. He sang his new song 'Veda' and turned to me, saying: 'This surgery scares me; if I die, name the album Veda. If I don't die, we'll choose another name.'"
Before entering the surgery, he also told me: 'Life was difficult for me, but it was beautiful. My only request from everyone is that they forgive me...'
