Comedian Özgür Turhan responds to Soylu's 'Fetödyen' remark
Comedian Özgür Turhan has responded to former Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu, who had called him a 'Fetödyen'.
Comedian Özgür Turhan's joke about Süleyman Soylu, which he shared on his social media account in recent months, had become a trending topic.
“I don't think Tylolhot has any connection to drugs, because I've never seen a photo of it with Süleyman Soylu,” Turhan had said, to which Süleyman Soylu responded with the phrases “so-called comedian or fetödyen”.

Turhan responded to this remark by Süleyman Soylu in his newly released stand-up show.
In his show published on YouTube, Turhan said, “Turkey's first FETÖ comedian… This title was bestowed upon me by Süleyman Soylu,” adding, “I thought this title belonged to Atalay Demirci, but it was available.”
Turhan continued as follows:
"I thought this title belonged to Atalay Demirci, but it was available. At first, I didn't think dear Mr. Süleyman Soylu had responded to me. It hit the news sites; they had split the screen in two. On one side, an angry Süleyman Soylu, and on the other, me. The man made a statement; FETÖ, PYD, PKK, PNG, JPEG… All the extensions, terrorist organizations, and so on… I said to myself, he must not be talking about me. He accused me of being a FETÖ member. Yet, the moment I was closest to FETÖ was the moment I retweeted Süleyman Soylu."
