Copyright lawsuit over the series 'Adını Feriha Koydum' concluded
The similarity between one of the most-watched series on Turkish television, 'Adını Feriha Koydum', and author Gülten Dayıoğlu's work 'Yeşil Kiraz', which was taken to court, has been confirmed by the court. Following the conclusion of the case, the parties held discussions.
The verdict arrived after 14 years: the copyright lawsuit over the series 'Adını Feriha Koydum' has concluded. The court ruled that there is a similarity between the series 'Adını Feriha Koydum' and Gülten Dayıoğlu's work titled 'Yeşil Kiraz'.
According to the report by Birsen Altuntaş, the court decided that there is a similarity between one of the most-watched series of its time, 'Adını Feriha Koydum', and author Gülten Dayıoğlu's work named 'Yeşil Kiraz'.
MED YAPIM WILL SPONSOR DAYIOĞLU'S FOUNDATION FOR 10 YEARS
It was reported that following the court's decision, the series' producer Fatih Aksoy and screenwriter Melis Civelek visited Dayıoğlu. It was announced that Med Yapım will sponsor the Children and Youth Literature Foundation, established by Dayıoğlu, for 10 years.
Furthermore, it was stated that efforts will be made to develop film and series projects to ensure Dayıoğlu's works reach wider audiences. Thus, screen adaptations of Dayıoğlu's works are expected to be produced.
