The 61st International Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival kicks off with an opening ceremony featuring a presentation by successful actress Sedef Avcı and a special performance by actor Serhat Kılıç.
Turkey’s most deep-rooted cinema celebration is once again hosting the magic of cinema starting October 5. The festival will greet cinema lovers with an opening ceremony hosted by Sedef Avcı, featuring stage performances by Serhat Kılıç.
The opening night of the festival, which will bring the newest productions of Turkish and world cinema and master names of the silver screen together with cinema enthusiasts until October 12 and turn the spirit of cinema into a feast with many side events, will begin with the traditional red carpet ceremony. The president of the National Feature Film Jury, director Ferzan Özpetek, who will determine the winners of the Golden Orange, and the jury members will also be present at the ceremony.

The opening ceremony, which will take place following the motorcade that tours the streets of Antalya every year and witnesses warm meetings between audiences and the legendary names they admire, will also host the presentation of the Honorary Awards, a gesture of respect to master artists. During the night, Honorary Awards will be presented to Erdal Özyağcılar, Işıl Yücesoy, Müjdat Gezen, Selçuk Yöntem, and Şerif Sezer, while young actors Farah Zeynep Abdullah and Aras Bulut İynemli will receive Achievement Awards.
