However, we should not share our products with others; this significantly increases the risk of infection." Prof. Dr. Çömez emphasized that attention should be paid to the expiration dates of products and warned, "We must ensure that the products provided for testing in stores are single-use."

Stating that permanent makeup applications can lead to serious health problems such as intraocular inflammation and even blindness, Prof. Dr. Çömez expressed that these procedures should be considered like a tattoo. The expert said, "Permanent makeup should be performed in a suitable environment and by expert individuals. Otherwise, complications such as infection, permanent eyelash loss, and the turning of the eyelid inward or outward may occur."

Stating, "We must not forget that makeup products are personal. Sharing them with others increases the risk of infection," Çömez noted that hands should be washed thoroughly before inserting lenses and that makeup should be applied after the lenses are inserted.

Pointing out that liquid makeup products can produce germs, fungi, and bacteria after a certain date, Prof. Dr. Çömez said, "We should discard products every 3-6 months and continue with new ones." Furthermore, she emphasized that if symptoms of infection such as discharge in the eye or sensitivity to light occur while applying makeup, the makeup should be removed first. She warned, "We should completely discard the makeup products and continue with makeup after treatment with new products."
