Decision on Fatih Ürek's estate has been made: His belongings will be sold, proceeds will be donated to education

The estate of the famous artist Fatih Ürek, who passed away after an illness and was laid to rest at Karacaahmet Cemetery, continues to be a topic of public discussion. An announcement has been made to put an end to the speculation regarding the assets of the artist, who was known for his villa in Bodrum, apartments, luxury cars, and valuable jewelry.

In an official statement released by the family, it was stated that Ürek's personal belongings would be sold, and a large portion of the proceeds would be used both in the field of education and for the benefit of animals.

According to a report by Snob Magazin, his sister Selvi Ürek stated that the rumors regarding theft and the distribution of his belongings were baseless, saying, "Baseless news about us emerged even while he was still sick. We have authorized his own lawyer to manage the process."

The famous artist's sister explained that some of the precious jewelry and personal items were kept within the family as keepsakes, while the rest would be sold and the funds directed toward educational support:

"Yes, he had jewelry. Some of it was sold, some was kept as keepsakes. His glasses, a bag or two, etc., were taken by siblings who wanted them, but we will sell the rest and donate to education. He still has many shoes and clothes. We will sell them all and donate to education, and a little bit to animals. That is certain."

Furthermore, it was stated that the tax and bank debts left behind by the artist were largely paid off with his own savings, and the remaining assets would be divided equally among the four heirs.

Sharing that Fatih Ürek's greatest desire throughout his life was to have a school built in his name and that he frequently updated his will, his sister recalled the artist's words:

“I want a foundation in my name. Let there be a charitable act. The thing I want most in my life is to have a school built in my name. We need our schools; I cry when I see children.” The decision by his siblings to sell his belongings and transfer the proceeds to education in accordance with his wishes means that Ürek's will is being fulfilled.
