Blok3, who managed to become the first Turkish singer to reach 10 million streams on Spotify, reacted to statements made by experienced pop star Demet Akalın. Demet Akalın had implied that unfair practices were taking place on the charts, stating, "There are other things going on there."
"SHE'S THE SAME AGE AS MY GRANDMOTHER, SHE'S LIKE AN AUNT TO ME"
Blok3, whose real name is Hakan Aydın, used the following expressions on social media in response to these criticisms: "She's older than my mother, the same age as my grandmother. It's normal that she doesn't get it. She's like an aunt to me. Global Spotify shares my work, but in our country, the elders slander instead of supporting."
"DISRESPECTFUL AND RUDE..."
These words led to a harsh reaction from Akalın's side. In a post on her own account, Demet Akalın responded to the young rapper by saying, "Disrespectful and rude... I don't have bots or fake followers like you do. You'll see thirty years, ha... Don't make me laugh! Shame on you."
