It has been learned that former model Deniz Akkaya was taken into custody by police following an incident at the house where she was staying in the Kartepe district of Kocaeli.
According to a report by Sabah, Akkaya, who left her home in Istanbul some time ago, began staying at the home of her friend, Kürşat A., who lives in Kartepe. It is claimed that Akkaya suffered a nervous breakdown during an incident for which the cause is not yet known.
Following the events, it is alleged that an argument broke out between Akkaya and Kürşat A. in the house, and as the argument escalated, Akkaya physically assaulted her friend and damaged some items in the home.
Police teams arriving at the address upon notification launched an investigation into the incident. Following the procedures, Deniz Akkaya was taken into custody.
