The Istanbul Anatolian Chief Public Prosecutor's Office had seized the assets of the Dilan and Engin Polat couple as part of an investigation into money laundering, tax evasion, and illegal virtual betting, and they were sent to Marmara Prison in Silivri after being arrested along with 14 others.

However, this was not the only investigation involving the Polat couple.

Singer Banu Parlak's beauty center in Bahçeşehir was shot at on October 1. Banu Parlak, whose workplace was hit by 5 bullets, held Dilan and Engin Polat responsible for the incident and filed a complaint. 5 people were arrested on October 5.

ARRESTED FOR INSTIGATION

The Küçükçekmece Chief Public Prosecutor's Office summoned Dilan and Engin Polat, as well as his father Sezgin Polat, to testify yesterday morning. Sezgin Polat, Engin Polat, and Dilan Polat gave their statements in order. Stating that she knew Banu Parlak and that there were issues between them, Dilan Polat said, "We have no connection to the shooting incident."

Dilan, Engin, and Sezgin Polat were arrested for 'instigating an armed attack' following their procedures at the prosecutor's office.

The lawyers for Dilan and Engin Polat also applied to the Anatolian Criminal Judgeship of Peace yesterday to appeal the detention and requested that the couple be tried without arrest.

However, even if a decision for trial without arrest were to be issued in this investigation, Dilan and Engin Polat will not be released because they have also been arrested for the crime of instigating an attack.

'WE ARE INNOCENT'

Journalist Emrullah Erdinç revealed Dilan Polat's reaction to the second arrest decision. In a video he shared on his social media account, Erdinç stated that Dilan Polat went into shock following the arrest decision.

Upon learning of the arrest decision, Dilan Polat turned to her husband Engin Polat and stated that they were not guilty.

Unable to hold back her tears in the courthouse corridor, Dilan Polat said, "My Engin, we are innocent. I leave them to God!"
