Director and film critic Mesut Kara has passed away
Evrensel newspaper columnist and director Mesut Kara has passed away. Director Kara had also been working as a film critic for over 15 years.
Filmmaker and writer Mesut Kara, who had been writing the "Sine-Masal" column for Evrensel since November 2012, has passed away at the age of 63 at Söke State Hospital, where he was receiving treatment.
Kara, who suffered a partial stroke in 2008 and had been struggling with recurring health issues, suffered a heart attack last February and was admitted to intensive care.
According to the report by Evrensel, following his treatment, he was readmitted to Söke State Hospital after his heart condition recurred in recent days.
Mesut Kara passed away yesterday evening.
