Comedian Doğu Demirkol stated that he was lynched over the 'Abu Huzaifa' joke featured in his series 'Doğu' and commented, 'I stand by what I did.'
Comedian Doğu Demirkol was a guest on the YouTube program "What Should One Do to Say I Have Lived with Pınar Sabancı," hosted by psychologist Pınar Sabancı.
In response to Pınar Sabancı's question, "Are there any points you would never touch in terms of humor?" Doğu Demirkol stated that he was lynched over the "Abu Huzaifa" joke featured in the series "Doğu" and commented, "I stand by what I did."
Doğu Demirkol said the following:
"I get lynched a lot, but I think everything can be made into humor. To be frank, there are people who lynch me in the name of God. I don't have a joke about the foundations of Islam; my joke is about their interpretations and misperceptions. I stand by what I did."
