Drug investigation targeting celebrities: Serenay Sarıkaya detained upon return to Turkey

The investigation initiated by the Bakırköy Chief Public Prosecutor's Office regarding the use of drugs or stimulants is ongoing. As part of the investigation, teams from the Istanbul Provincial Gendarmerie Command had conducted operations at 25 addresses identified in Beşiktaş, Sarıyer, Beyoğlu, Kağıthane, and Üsküdar, as well as in Muğla. During the operation, 20 suspects, including famous names, were detained. The 20 suspects, whose interrogations were completed at the Provincial Gendarmerie Command, underwent health checks at the Seyrantepe Hamidiye Etfal Training and Research Hospital and were subsequently referred to Forensic Medicine Institute units to provide blood and hair samples. While 9 of the suspects who provided blood, hair, and urine samples were released, 11 were referred to the courthouse, and suspect Mehmet Rahşan was arrested.

Serenay Sarıkaya DETAINED

Meanwhile, actress Serenay Sarıkaya, who was determined to have returned from abroad and had a detention warrant issued against her, was detained by gendarmerie teams today. It was learned that after her statement at the gendarmerie, the famous actress will be referred to the Forensic Medicine Institute for tests regarding drug use.
