Defne Joy Foster, who etched herself into memory with the character of Eda she portrayed in the hit series of a generation, 'Sihirli Annem', passed away on February 2, 2011, at the home of Kerem Altan, the son of writer Ahmet Altan, in Kadıköy Caddebostan.
Defne Joy, who worked as a VJ on a music channel in the 1990s and later stepped into acting, was not forgotten on the 14th anniversary of her death.
Veteran actress Gül Onat, who played Perihan in 'Sihirli Annem', commemorated her former co-star in a post on her social media account.

Sharing a scene from the series with Defne Joy Foster, the veteran actress wrote the message, "My dear girl, how I wish you were among us. You are now in our hearts, in our memories. Rest in peace."
