Dilan Çiçek Deniz's comment that "acting is not a sacred profession" greatly angered Ekin Türkmen. The role of Altınbilek, who plays a poor neighborhood girl in a series, had been harshly criticized by Berna Laçin.
Laçin had used the following words on social media: "I wonder whose idea it was to cast someone with the most obvious plastic surgery in the role of a poor neighborhood girl?"
The first response to these words from Berna Laçin came from actress Dilan Çiçek Deniz. Without naming her directly, Deniz had made a reference to Laçin. She then added, "Acting is not a sacred profession like medicine or teaching."
These words by Dilan Çiçek Deniz sparked a new debate in the art world. Deniz received a harsh reaction from her colleague Ekin Türkmen.
Türkmen stated, "Acting is a very sacred profession! It's a pity, I am sick of you and the space you occupy! You are disrespectful, ignorant people who do not know hierarchy." It was observed that Türkmen later deleted the criticism she had posted on social media without mentioning any names.
