An emotional farewell to Naşit Özcan

Naşit Özcan, the nephew of Adile Naşit, who suffered a brain hemorrhage two months ago, passed away on May 4. The first memorial ceremony for the famous actor was held in Üsküdar. His family, close friends, and many figures from the art community attended the ceremony.

'IT WAS MY HEART'S CHOICE'

Delivering an emotional speech at the ceremony, his wife, Peyker Özcan, recounted the story of how she met Naşit Özcan. "On April 12, 2000, I had a theater ticket without my mother's knowledge. My life changed that day. When I saw Naşit on stage, my heart chose him. My life took a completely different path after that day," she said. She added that Naşit Özcan's name would continue to live on through his son and grandson.

Voice actor Ali Gül shared his feelings, saying, "Naşit was someone who lived intertwined with theater and breathed the dust of the stage. We had worked together on a commercial film. He was a smiling and pleasant person to talk to."

AN EMOTIONAL FAREWELL

Following the ceremony, Naşit Özcan's funeral was taken to the Şakirin Mosque. His wife, Peyker Özcan, bid her final farewell by kissing her husband's coffin.
