Emre Kınay announces his decision regarding Gökhan Ünver

Gökhan Ünver, who gained widespread recognition for the content he creates on social media, faced backlash for remaining silent following the arrest of Ekrem İmamoğlu, and later mocked his critics in a video. 

In a video shared on his Instagram account, Gökhan Ünver placed screenshots of boycott messages directed at him in the background and captioned the video, "My mental state from thinking about whether or not to post a 'Happy Holidays' story." Following this move, the intensity of the reactions increased.

"DURU TİYATRO'S STANCE IS CLEAR"

Theater and television actor Emre Kınay responded to the reactions directed at Gökhan Ünver, who was scheduled to perform at Duru Tiyatro, which Kınay founded. Regarding the calls to cancel comedian Gökhan Ünver's stage shows scheduled for April 10 and 29 at Duru Tiyatro, Kınay stated, "Duru Tiyatro's stance and line are clear. My position is also clear. We are working to avoid summary judgment, and rest assured that we will act with public responsibility in the end."

CANCELLED

In the following hours, Kınay announced that they could not cancel the April performances due to legal contracts, but that the May performances had been cancelled. Kınay said, "Gökhan Ünver's announced shows in May will not take place on the Duru Tiyatro stage." Kınay also noted that they had closed the April show to promotion.
