Ergin Ataman's father, İbrahim Nuray Ataman, laid to rest
İbrahim Nuray Ataman, the father of A National Men's Basketball Team and Panathinaikos head coach Ergin Ataman, who passed away at the age of 89, has been laid to rest.
A funeral prayer for İbrahim Nuray Ataman was held at Zincirlikuyu Mosque following the Friday prayer.
Ergin Ataman and his family accepted condolences before the funeral prayer.
The funeral was attended by Minister of Youth and Sports Osman Aşkın Bak, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu, Galatasaray Club President Dursun Özbek, Beşiktaş Club President Hasan Arat, Turkish Basketball Federation Vice President Ömer Onan, and many figures from the basketball community.
Former Minister of Interior Mehmet Ağar, UEFA Executive Committee member and Turkish Football Federation presidential candidate Servet Yardımcı, as well as many people from the sports and arts worlds, were also present at the funeral.
Following the prayer, Ataman's body was laid to rest at Zincirlikuyu Cemetery.
