Exports decline, prices drop: 50 percent discount on eggs

Rising egg prices in recent months had been difficult for consumers. However, with the decline in exports and an increase in domestic supply, there has been a significant drop in prices. While the price of a 30-egg carton was in the 190-200 TL range in recent months, it has now fallen to 125-130 TL. This situation has increased the purchasing power of consumers.
DECLINE IN EXPORTS HAD AN IMPACT
In particular, the halt in egg exports to the US and Iraq led to an oversupply in the domestic market. This development played a significant role in the drop in prices.
CONSUMER DEMAND IS RISING
The drop in prices has also increased consumer demand. Consumers who previously could only buy eggs by the piece due to their budget are now able to purchase them by the carton.
SELLERS ARE PLEASED
Egg sellers state that they are pleased with the drop in prices and the increase in sales. It is estimated that prices may fall even further as the weather warms up.
