Famous actor Ali Atay becomes a target after his 'Kahramanmaraş earthquake' remarks: 'Why did he shoot himself in the foot for no reason?'

Journalist and actor Ali Atay and Serkan Keskin, who appeared on the Fatih Altaylı ile Pazar Sohbeti program, made notable remarks.

The actors, who discussed their music band Leyla the Band, also spoke about the "Anonim" series, which will have a 5-episode first season on Exxen.

During the program, Ali Atay became the target of many after saying, "Why am I struggling with this country's floods, fires, and disasters, man? What was I doing in Maraş while my wife was giving birth? Why do we fall for manipulation?" 

Milliyet columnist Ali Eyüboğlu, in his column titled "What did Ali Atay do in Maraş during the earthquake?", wrote about Atay: "You would think that when the state could not sufficiently protect the earthquake victims, Ali Atay spread his cape and flew to Kahramanmaraş like an 'angel of mercy'!"

Eyüboğlu noted the following:

"Since the state did not call anyone to help after the natural disasters, there is only one reason for Ali Atay to fall for this manipulation, as he puts it, and that is the social media clamor I listed above.

It is clear what Haluk Levent and the Ahbap association he founded have done for humanity for years, despite some criticizing him at every opportunity by asking, 'Has the singer who went to prison for fraud in the past now become an angel of mercy?'

It is interesting that Ali Atay, who has not done even one-millionth of what Ahbap has done, sees himself as someone filling the state's void... You would think that when the state could not sufficiently protect the earthquake victims, Ali Atay spread his cape and flew to Kahramanmaraş like an 'angel of mercy'!

Among the tens of thousands of people who could not go to the earthquake zone to participate in relief efforts, some donated to accounts opened for aid, while others prepared boxes of food and clothing and sent them to the region... None of these people brought up the good they did for the earthquake victims like Ali Atay did.

While trying to criticize the relevant units of the state for being insufficient during natural disasters, what is the point of throwing the good you did for the sake of God in people's faces?

While most people refrain from talking about the help and good deeds they do, why did Ali Atay shoot himself in the foot for no reason?

What did the actor do for the earthquake victims in Kahramanmaraş that he felt the need to mention it after all this time?
