American actress Selma Blair, known for productions such as "Cruel Intentions," "Legally Blonde," and "Scream 2," was detained following incidents that occurred on a Los Angeles-New York flight.
According to reports in the US press, the incident came to light after the Delta Air Lines flight landed at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York. It was alleged that Blair punched a flight attendant during the flight and bit another cabin crew member.

It was also claimed that the actress attacked a police officer and a nurse while being transported to the hospital. According to court documents, two separate second-degree assault charges were filed against Blair regarding the police officer and the nurse.
Appearing before a judge in a New York state court, Blair denied both charges against her. The actress, who was released on bail, is scheduled to have her next hearing on January 19.
It was stated that a federal process is also underway regarding the incident alleged to have occurred on the plane, and that the FBI has issued a subpoena for Blair.
Blair's manager, in a statement made after the incident, reported that the actress experienced a medical emergency during the flight. The representative stated, "Selma experienced a medical emergency that led to the alleged behaviors. She received immediate medical attention after the plane landed and is currently in stable condition."
