Famous chef Efe Metin Çakıroğlu has passed away

Chef Efe Metin Çakıroğlu, who had been working as a chef for over 15 years, has passed away.

The cause of Çakıroğlu's death has not been disclosed by his family.

'CHART YOUR OWN PATH,' HE HAD SAID

In his final interview with a magazine recently, the famous chef had stated the following:

"Do not be deceived by anyone. Chart your own path. Read a lot and, if possible, watch as much as you can. However, cooking is just a profession, not your life. Make sure to set aside time for your private life. Otherwise, you may tire out quickly."

WHO IS EFE METİN ÇAKIROĞLU?

Efe Çakıroğlu was born in 1987. He was a Turkish chef. From his early years, he was intertwined with the kitchen due to his family's restaurant in Bodrum, and he took his first steps into the culinary profession there.

While studying International Relations at Istanbul University, he realized he could not stay away from the kitchen and received Chef&Owner Professional Culinary training at the Istanbul Culinary Arts Academy.

Çakıroğlu, who also wrote articles on gastronomy for Oggusto, passed away on January 20, 2024.
