A demolition order has been issued for the Carrefour Bursa Shopping Center, one of Bursa's iconic venues that has been operating for 23 years, on the grounds that it is not earthquake-resistant. Stores inside the mall have been given until December 31 to complete their evacuation procedures.

According to details in a report by Bursa'da Bugün, it is not yet clear what will be done with the land after the evacuation.

The shopping mall, which has a property value of 250 million dollars, was sold to Atış Yapı in a sale completed in July. Following the sale, Atış Yapı conducted inspections on the building and stated that the mall was a risky structure and was found to be vulnerable to earthquakes.

With the liquidation decision, the demolition process for the mall has officially begun, and in the notification sent to the stores, they were requested to vacate their businesses by December 31, 2024.

While no project to be implemented by Atış Yapı on the mall's land has been shared yet, it is thought that the Carrefour Bursa Shopping Center land will host a giant residence, given that large residences have been built on the sites of malls demolished in recent years in Bursa.
