American singer Nicki Minaj was detained at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam for attempting to take "soft drugs" out of the country. The singer's Manchester concert has been cancelled.
US rap star Nicki Minaj has been detained at Schiphol Airport in Amsterdam.
Minaj was detained ahead of her concert in Manchester, England, due to her attempt to take "soft drugs" out of the country.
Minaj stated on her social media account that the police wanted to "search all of her luggage" and used the following expressions:
“They said they found marijuana and that another group of people have to come here to weigh the pre-rolls.”
It has been reported that the famous singer's Manchester concert has been postponed.
STATEMENT FROM THE POLICE
Dutch police confirmed that "a 41-year-old American woman was detained for possession of soft drugs" and stated that it is prohibited to take such substances out of the country.
The police did not confirm the name of the suspect but stated that the investigation is ongoing and the individual remains in custody.
