Famous Yeşilçam musician Zafer Dilek has passed away
Zafer Dilek, the famous musician behind many Yeşilçam film scores, has passed away at the age of 81 in the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
Yeşilçam film composer Zafer Dilek has passed away at Göztepe Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital, where he was receiving treatment. Born in Adana in 1944, Zafer Dilek had been residing for the past five years at the Istanbul MetropolitanMunicipality's Artists'Life Home.
For a pHaving been suffering fromvarious health problems for some time, the famous musician was first taken to the Kayışdağı Darülaceze Medical Center and later to the Göztepe Süleyman Yalçın City Hospital's intensive care unit.

Zafer Dilek also worked as an arranger for many famous names such as Sezen Aksu, Ajda Pekkan, Edip Akbayram, Bülent Ersoy, and Muazzez Abacı. The master musician, in 1979,composed the melody for the film Şark Bülbülü, starring Kemal Sunal,which is titled "Çark".He also composed the unforgettable melodies for "Çarşambayı Sel Aldı" and the 1977 film Sakar Şakir, including "Dilo Dilo Yaylalar."
Zafer Dilek's funeral will be held on Saturday, December 13,at the Karacaahmet Cemetery in Üsküdar,where he will be laid to rest in the family plot.
