Theater and television actor Emin Gümüşkaya has passed away due to respiratory failure at the hospital where he had been receiving treatment for some time. The master artist, who left us at the age of 77, was etched in memories with his performances on stage and screen for many years. LOW TURNOUT AT THE FUNERAL CEREMONY IN ÜSKÜDAR

The absence of the art world was felt at the ceremony held at the Üsküdar State Theaters Tekel Stage. The master actor's colleague Zafer Algöz and some artists from the city theaters attended the funeral. Following the ceremony, which was attended by a small number of people, Gümüşkaya was sent off to Bursa with applause.

Giving an emotional speech at the ceremony, actor Zafer Algöz described Gümüşkaya's dedication to theater with these words:

"He was like a father to all of us in the youth theater courses opened by the Bursa State Theater. He was one of the rare people who did this profession not for money, but for love."

"One day he told me, 'I played many roles in the state theater, but I became known for a 'Seyyar Tayyar'. What an ungrateful profession this is.'"

Zafer Algöz emphasized Emin Gümüşkaya's place in the art world with these words:

"My bond of affection with him was something else entirely. Such great masters will not come again."
