Fethiye makes it onto The Times' 'best beach holiday' list
The Fethiye district of Muğla has been ranked third among the world's best destinations for a beach holiday in October by the British newspaper The Times.
According to a statement from the Fethiye Municipality, the newspaper, which announced its list of "Best places for a beach holiday in October", selected only Fethiye from Turkey.
In the section regarding Fethiye, The Times, which recommended holiday centers in 11 countries for an October vacation, included the following statements:
"Easily accessible via direct flights from the UK to Dalaman airport, Fethiye is one of the main hubs of the Turkish Riviera and a perfect choice for families. Use it as a base to explore the region's pine-clad mountains by bike, lounge on the vast sandy stretches of the magnificent Ölüdeniz beach and the Blue Lagoon, and discover the Butterfly Valley on a traditional gulet boat trip. You can also hike parts of the Lycian Way, which is filled with ancient rock tombs."
