Feyyaz Yiğit, the lead actor and screenwriter of the series 'Gibi', was a guest on İbrahim Selim's YouTube program, where he shared details regarding the decision to end the show.

Yiğit explained why the series came to an end as follows:

“When we first started making it, something that was new was going to turn into something that repeats itself. I never wanted to make a series where people would say, 'Oh, did that show end?' I wanted us to miss it. We would have liked to do more, but I wanted it to be a timely farewell. I didn't want it to be a project that slowly repeats itself and loses its enthusiasm. Both for the work itself and for the audience.”

"IT WAS A DIFFICULT DECISION TO MAKE WHILE MAKING A LOT OF MONEY"

Continuing his remarks, Yiğit explained the other reasons behind the decision with these words:

"Secondly, because we put in so much effort, our profession started to feel like working on 'Gibi'. I also want to take the risk of something else being bad. In a series that has reached its 6th season, your space becomes limited. In the first season, the character of Yılmaz could have been a numismatist. But if we did that in the 6th season, the audience wouldn't accept it. You lose your freedom. You turn into a point that repeats itself. Ending it this way is a sign of respect for the work, the audience, and our profession. It was a particularly difficult decision to make while we were making a lot of money.”
