The Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office announced that Fidan Atalay, known as "Fidan Hoca" on social media, has been detained on charges of "obscenity" and "laundering assets derived from crime."
In a statement issued by the Ankara Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, it was stated: "An investigation has been initiated ex officio by our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office on the grounds that the posts, video, and photo content shared by the Instagram user with the name/handle 'fidannatalay', known to the public as Fidan Hoca, constitute the crime of obscenity as regulated under Article 226 of the Turkish Penal Code (TCK), and that the suspect's generation of income through this method also constitutes the crime of Laundering Assets Derived from Crime as regulated under Article 282 of the TCK. In accordance with the request of our Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect Fidan Atalay has been detained in the province of İzmir. Investigation procedures are continuing meticulously."
