First statement from Birce Akalay following 'drug operation'

Yesterday morning, as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office's Smuggling, Narcotics and Economic Crimes Investigation Bureau, an operation was carried out targeting famous figures over allegations of using drugs or stimulants.

19 celebrities, including famous actress Birce Akalay, were detained in a dawn raid.

The celebrities, whose statements were taken and blood samples collected, were later subjected to health checks and left the Provincial Gendarmerie Command once their procedures were completed.

Birce Akalay made a statement on her social media account following her release.

Akalay's social media post is as follows:

"I would like to thank all my friends, companions, and all our loved ones who called, sent messages, and reminded me of their presence with their love and faith. I am fine, we are fine, and we will always remain fine..."
