First statement from Müjdat Gezen after the controversy: Aren't those five people human too?

Gezen had left the stage after encountering a reaction from an audience member who was unhappy with the location of the VIP seats during the Gırgıriye Musical, which was planned to be performed at the Istanbul Congress Center Harbiye Auditorium.

Following the tension, Gezen was taken to the hospital as a precaution and was discharged after his treatment.

Müjdat Gezen was seen before the 'Gırgıriye Musical' performed this evening. Arriving at the hall, Gezen tested the audience's view by sitting in the seats one by one with Uğur Dündar. More comfortable seats were placed instead of plastic chairs.

Making a statement regarding the subject, the master artist used the following expressions:

"My health is not very good, but it will improve. The organizers rented the congress hall; however, because the congress hall is flat, those sitting two rows back cannot see the stage. Can you imagine a theater without an audience? I am the actor, writer, and director of this work. If 20 of the audience members lift chairs at me and react, this work cannot continue.

Fortunately, they acted with good intentions and brought red seats, and the theater installed them. They said, 'We are refunding the money; if you want, go in and watch for free.' What do I care whether it's free or paid... We will go on stage, and if they say 'We can't see' again; as I said just a moment ago, I will call the two young people who are the bosses of this operation and say, 'You answer them.' We will go on stage and perform, but even if five audience members complain, aren't those five people human too?"
