First video from Murat Övüç after his release

Murat Övüç, who faced an investigation last December due to a video featuring a woman in a headscarf and was subsequently arrested and sent to prison, has been released following a court decision for judicial control.

Murat Övüç, who had been held at the Çorlu Karatepe Correctional Facility since December 20, 2025, was released yesterday by the court's decision. Conditions including a signature requirement and a travel ban were imposed upon the influencer's release. Having regained his freedom after approximately three months and ten days, Övüç's first act upon leaving prison was to connect with his followers via his social media account.

Having been away from his fans for some time, Övüç shared his thoughts on his days in prison through a video message. The famous influencer expressed his feelings by referring to his time in prison as a period of "clearing his head" and "rehabilitation."

"Good morning, peace be upon you. We missed each other so much. I have been away from you for exactly 3 months and 10 days. I truly missed you all dearly. During this time, I cleared my head a bit and became rehabilitated. I would like to thank the directors and staff of the Çorlu Karatepe Correctional Facility very much; they took great care of me."

Furthermore, Murat Övüç, who also thanked his lawyers, his wife, his son, and his close team, concluded his words by saying, "I love you, beautiful and happy days await us."
