Fish stalls are overflowing: Anchovy prices hit rock bottom!
In Trabzon, fish stalls are overflowing this year. Fishermen, noting that the fishing season has been quite bountiful, are offering anchovies for sale at 100 liras per kilogram.
At the stalls in the Moloz area of the Ortahisar district, a variety of fish, primarily anchovies, as well as whiting, garfish, bluefish, horse mackerel, salmon, sea bass, sea bream, and trout are being offered to consumers.
IN ITS MOST BOUNTIFUL PERIOD

At the stalls, horse mackerel and whiting are being sold for 75 to 100 liras per kilogram, salmon for 250 liras, sea bream, young bluefish, and sea bass for 300 liras, trout for 200 liras, anchovies for 100 liras, and bonito for 100 liras apiece.
Fisherman Mehmet Örseloğlu stated that there is an abundance of fish varieties at the stalls.
'I HAVE BEEN A FISHERMAN FOR 40 YEARS, THIS IS A FIRST'
Örseloğlu noted that after the fishing season opened on September 1, there was an abundance of bonito, and added that the abundance of anchovies is still continuing.

Fisherman Ahmet Çoğalmış expressed that the season has been very good, saying, "I have been a fisherman for 40 years; this year, for the first time, the anchovy season has continued for another month and a half after the bonito season."
