According to Reuters, police were called to the hotel in the capital's Palermo neighborhood in response to an emergency call regarding an "aggressive man who may have been under the influence of drugs and alcohol."
According to reports, ambulance personnel later confirmed the death of the singer, who was found in the hotel's inner courtyard.
