Funeral arrangements announced: Family issues statement regarding Kadir İnanır's will

Kadir İnanır, one of the unforgettable actors of Yeşilçam, passed away in the hospital where he was receiving treatment, following severe health issues that had persisted for approximately a month and a half. It was reported that the famous actor had been going through a difficult period due to lung cancer and had most recently been kept alive on a ventilator due to pneumonia and multiple organ failure.

In the announcement made by the hospital, it was stated that İnanır had been under treatment for respiratory problems since May 13, 2026. Kadir İnanır was admitted to intensive care on May 14, and his condition worsened in the following days, leading to him being intubated. Despite all medical interventions, he passed away on June 26 at 18:05.

Speaking on behalf of the family, the artist's nephew, Levent İnanır, emphasized İnanır's fighting spirit, saying, "He had been struggling with serious health problems for a long time; he was very tired but he resisted." Drawing attention to the support of his loved ones and fans, Levent İnanır expressed his gratitude with the words, "Everyone who knew him and those who didn't prayed for him."

Levent İnanır also clarified the matter of the will, which had been a subject of public curiosity. Stating, "He had no special requests. We will bid him farewell in a manner befitting him," he indicated that the artist had not left any will.

The details of the funeral ceremony have been finalized. A memorial program for Kadir İnanır will be held on Sunday, June 28, at 13:00 at the Harbiye Muhsin Ertuğrul Stage. Following the memorial event, the funeral prayer for the famous actor will be held at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Mosque after the afternoon prayer.
