In 1983, he went to Italy to receive modeling training. He worked as a model in Italy, Germany, and France for two years and played water polo.

In 1985, he starred in his first film, "Arzu," with Banu Alkan, followed by roles in "Tapılacak Kadın" and "Sekreter" with Hülya Avşar. In his youth, he was involved in motorcycle racing for a time.
