Actress Meltem Miraloğlu is going through difficult times in the US: She has started working at a grocery store

Meltem Miraloğlu (38), who rose to fame with the series Hayat Devam Ediyor (2011-2013), directed and written by Mahsun Kırmızıgül, settled in the US in 2019. The actress's marriage abroad to Patrick Grady, who is 48 years her senior, had become a topic of tabloid news.

Singer and tabloid columnist Onur Akay wrote a column about the latest situation of the famous actress, who has left her past behind and changed her name on her social media account to 'Grady Miraloglu'.

'SHE HAS STARTED WORKING AT A GROCERY STORE'

In the article titled "News from Meltem Miraloğlu", it was stated that the actress is going through very difficult days in America. It was alleged that Meltem Miraloğlu, who settled in the Cherry Hill district of New Jersey, has started working at a grocery store in the Delran district.

Onur Akay stated, "Turks living in America who want to help Miraloğlu say that she creates major problems everywhere she goes and in every job she takes, and that she does not listen to anyone."

'HER FINANCIAL SITUATION IS VERY DIRE'

Tabloid columnist Akay claimed, "I learned that Meltem, who is trying to make a living by doing cleaning jobs and making Turkish food, is also in a very dire financial situation. Meltem Miraloğlu, who lives in the US as an undocumented immigrant, is reportedly traveling by hitchhiking due to a lack of money."

'MY ENTRY INTO TURKEY IS BEING BLOCKED'

Stating that her identification and documents were stolen in October 2024, Meltem Miraloğlu had previously claimed that she was being held hostage in the US and issued a call for help.

The actress had said, "I was born in Diyarbakır. Since my childhood, I have been putting effort into the triangle of theater, cinema, and television series, which has been an inseparable whole for me. I found a place for myself in the art world with the character I played in the series where I was the lead. I am making this statement because I have filed a criminal complaint with all television channels."

Meltem Miraloğlu had stated, "My goal is for these videos of mine to be subtitled in English and delivered as a whole to the Immigration Federal Supreme Court Human Rights judge. I want a lawyer to be provided to me and I want to defend my rights. My entry into Turkey is being blocked in the US, where I am being held hostage after my IDs were stolen. I want to obtain my US citizenship and regain my freedom."
