Bilal Hancı's statement revealed

In the latest wave of operations conducted as part of a drug investigation targeting famous figures, İbrahim Barut, son of Abdi İbrahim Pharmaceuticals Chairman Nezih Barut; magazine writer Mehmet Üstündağ; social media influencer Bilal Hancı; and Abdullah Gençal, son of Huzur Giyim owner Turgut Gençal, were detained.

While the prosecutor's office requested judicial control for suspect Bilal Hancı in the form of "house arrest," the arrest of Abdullah Gençal was requested. It was learned that İbrahim Barut and Mehmet Üstündağ were referred to the duty magistrate with a request for judicial control, including a "travel ban" and "reporting requirements."

In the magistrate's decision, Abdullah Gençal was arrested, while a travel ban and house arrest were imposed on Bilal Hancı. İbrahim Barut and Mehmet Üstündağ were released under judicial control with a travel ban.

The statement given to the prosecutor's office by Bilal Hancı, who is under house arrest, has also been reflected in the file. In his statement, Hancı admitted to using drugs and shared the following:

“After a difficult divorce process I went through in 2024, I collapsed psychologically. I used cocaine in Amsterdam. I started using drugs by obtaining cocaine and MDM in Amsterdam. I had never used drugs in my life before.

After returning to Turkey, I used them about once a month, when I felt very bad. I did not supply drugs to anyone, nor did I offer them.

I obtained this substance in Turkey from friend circles. I cannot remember these names right now, but I can submit them to your prosecutor's office when I remember. I have not used any substance other than cocaine.”

Regarding the allegations made against him by B.B.Y., whose statement was taken as part of the investigation, that "We used drugs together and had sexual intercourse with more than one person," Hancı said the following:

“After the gala night where the Fashion TV beauty pageant was held, only the two of us went to this person's residence in Etiler, the name of which I do not know. I did not have drugs with me. When I went to their house, I saw that there was already cocaine there.

Since I also use it, they offered it to me and we used the cocaine together. No sexual intercourse took place. Drugs were not used in my home.

The group sex allegation is absolutely not true. I did not do such a thing. I regret the incident. I do not accept the accusations leveled against me. I am not in a good psychological state.”
