In a tax audit conducted by the Ministry of Treasury and Finance, discrepancies were detected between the income declarations and bank accounts of 150 artists. Many famous names are on the list.
The Tax Inspection Board (VDK) of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance has placed artists and their agencies under scrutiny as part of its efforts to combat the informal economy.
During the investigations, it was determined that many actors and singers caught by the Risk Analysis, Evaluation and Research (RADAR) System had underreported their income.
In the first phase, discrepancies were identified between the incomes and declarations of 150 celebrities.
The total amount of money hidden from the state is estimated to be 1 billion 500 million TL.
According to reports from behind the scenes, this list includes well-known Turkish figures such as Serenay Sarıkaya, Halit Ergenç, Duman, Mert Demir, Bergüzar Korel, Hadise, Gülşen, and Melike Şahin.
