Özen said, 'I wanted to shoot this video for those who have relatives, loved ones, and friends; there is no such situation as smoke, fire trucks, or panic.'

However, Gökhan Özen's post received backlash on social media. Comments such as "Is everyone else lying?", "The man thinks Los Angeles consists only of his own neighborhood", and "Okay, we get it, you have a house in Los Angeles" were made regarding this post about the region where thousands of people have been evacuated.
