His nieces and nephews had objected: Verdict in Huysuz Virjin's 15 million TL inheritance case

Master artist Seyfi Dursunoğlu, known as Huysuz Virjin, had returned to the agenda following his death due to his will.

Dursunoğlu had left his house, valued at approximately 15 million TL, and all the money in his bank accounts to the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living (ÇYDD).

However, the artist's nephews, Cemal Erhan Saydam and Evren Saydam, filed a lawsuit for the cancellation of the will, claiming they were entitled to the inheritance.

NEPHEWS' LAWSUIT DISMISSED

The Istanbul Anatolian 14th Civil Court of First Instance announced its decision in the long-running case. The court dismissed the lawsuit filed by the nephews to cancel the will.

Thus, all of Seyfi Dursunoğlu's assets have officially passed to the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living.

Journalist Müge Dağıstanlı announced on her social media account that the will has now officially come into effect, stating, "It has been confirmed in court that he left all his financial savings to the Association for Supporting Contemporary Living."

Famous television personality Armağan Çağlayan also made an emotional post regarding the development, with the note, "May you rest in peace, Seyfi Bey... Sleep peacefully..."

Seyfi Dursunoğlu, who had been receiving treatment for a long time due to COPD, passed away on July 17, 2020, following a 15-day treatment for pneumonia.

The famous artist's final wish has been fulfilled five years after his death, supporting the struggle for education and modernity.
