Ministry of Family and Social Services requests access ban on Turabi's song

The Ministry of Family and Social Services has requested an access ban on the grounds that the content of the song by Turabi, known for his appearance on Survivor, disrupts public order with expressions that violate public morality and demean women. The song, described as “erotic-arabesque,” has also been widely discussed on social media due to its lyrics.

REQUESTED ACCESS BAN

According to information received, the Ministry took action due to the expressions in the song and video by Turabi, who is known for a competition program, which have drawn public reaction for violating public morality and demeaning women.

The Ministry requested an access ban to have the video removed from publication, arguing that such content, published on websites frequently used by millions of people, could disrupt the general structure of society and negatively affect the mental and spiritual development of children and young people with sexist expressions that demean women.

WHO IS TURABI?

Born in Mersin, Turabi Çamkıran participated in the competition titled "Benimle Dans Eder Misin" (Will You Dance With Me) in 2008. Çamkıran, who also appeared in the competition “Yetenek Sizsiniz Türkiye” (Turkey's Got Talent) in 2013, prepared by Acun Ilıcalı and featuring Acun Ilıcalı, Hülya Avşar, and Eser Yenenler as jury members, finished the season as the champion in Survivor, which he joined in 2014.

Subsequently, Çamkıran participated in Survivor All Star in 2015 and once again took the top spot. Having also acted in many films, Turabi has recently come to the agenda with the song he released.
