Rapper Sansar Salvo arrested

Rapper Ekin Can Arslan, known as Sansar Salvo, has been detained in Istanbul on charges of encouraging drug use in his music videos.

Drugs and a precision scale were seized during a search of the suspect's home.

Arslan, who is reported to have 10 prior criminal records, was arrested after being brought before the court.

WHO IS SANSAR SALVO?

Ekincan Arslan, or by his stage name Sansar Salvo, is a Turkish rap artist and songwriter born on August 18, 1989, in Kadıköy, Istanbul. Known in the rap world for his unique style and storytelling ability, Sansar Salvo holds an important place in the Turkish rap music scene.

Sansar Salvo made a strong entry into the rap world with his albums Adrenalin, released in 2008, and Seremoni Efendisi, released in 2009. He reached a wide audience with the songs he released during this period. Drawing attention with his distinctive songwriting and vocal style, the artist stood out with his storytelling-style songs.

In 2010, Sansar Salvo was diagnosed with cancer and had to take a break from his music career for a while. However, he overcame the illness and made a strong return to music with his 2013 album, 24. Şarjör. This album reflected the difficult process the artist went through and his internal transformation in his music.

In 2016, he achieved a first with Yakında Sans, the first compilation album of Turkish rap to be released in music stores. In 2017, he brought his album Şimdi Sans to his listeners through music stores and digital platforms.
