The Sabancı family's 'Atlı Köşk' lawsuit concluded: Valued at 2.9 billion TL...

The lawsuit regarding the ownership of the historic Atlı Köşk in Emirgan, Istanbul, one of the Sabancı family's famous properties, has concluded.

Sevilay Sabancı Çınar's application to the Istanbul Civil Court of Peace for the "dissolution of partnership through sale" of the mansion was ruled in her favor, and the mansion will be put up for sale via public auction.

Sevilay Sabancı Çınar had filed a lawsuit for inheritance rights years ago, stating that she was born to İhsan Sabancı, the son of Sabancı Holding founder Hacı Ömer Sabancı, but was born out of wedlock.

Although her status as an heir was officially registered by the Adana Civil Court of Peace and the Court of Cassation, Çınar continued her legal battle, claiming that she had not received the share she was entitled to from the Sabancı family.

In the real estate distribution lawsuit that included the Atlı Köşk, Sevilay Sabancı Çınar filed a lawsuit against 21 family members and the Rectorate of Sabancı University. The court registered a 1/48 ownership share of the mansion in Çınar's name.

According to Hürriyet's report, the court ruled for the sale of the mansion to dissolve the partnership. According to the decision, the Atlı Köşk will be offered for sale through a public auction open to everyone. Sevilay Sabancı Çınar's lawyer, M. Çağrı Bağatur, stated that the court's decision does not grant any priority to the Sabancı family.
