Scandal on Esra Erol'da! Groom and mother-in-law detained during live broadcast
On the program Esra Erol'da, the striking allegations made by 25-year-old Dilek, who has a mental disability, shocked Turkey. Following her claims of violence, threats, and pregnancy involving her fiancé Cuma and his mother Güldane, police teams arrived at the studio and detained Cuma and Güldane.
Dilek, who appeared on the program Esra Erol'da, claimed that her 21-year-old fiancé, Cuma, had run off with his 47-year-old mother, Güldane, and that they had subjected her to violence.
Dilek's statements caused a major stir in the studio and on social media.
DETAINED DURING LIVE BROADCAST
Police teams arrived at the studio during the program and detained Cuma and Güldane.
It was also revealed that Cuma is a military deserter. The pair were taken to the police station in connection with the allegations of violence and threats against Dilek.
PREGNANCY CLAIM CAUSES UPROAR
A viewer who called into the program alleged that Güldane is 3 months pregnant by Cuma.
This claim drew significant public backlash.
RTÜK LAUNCHES INVESTIGATION
The Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) has launched an investigation into the Esra Erol'da program regarding the incident. RTÜK Chairman Ebubekir Şahin emphasized that broadcasting organizations must act more sensitively and responsibly regarding family structure, the protection of children, and social values.
