Şeyma Subaşı responds to criticism of her spirituality with mention of Prophet Muhammad and prayer: 'I have been reading the Quran since I was 10...'

Şeyma Subaşı, who was released after being detained as part of a drug investigation conducted into celebrities, had admitted to using drugs before the test results were announced.

The tests revealed that Subaşı had used cocaine. Following the investigation process, Subaşı, who frequently shared posts about the Quran on her social media account, had stated regarding this period, "I am going through a sincere process of repentance."

Şeyma Subaşı, who recently followed AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on her Instagram account, has now come to the agenda with a new statement.

In her statement, Subaşı expressed that her favorite prophet is Prophet Muhammad.

Stating that the place of spirituality in her life dates back to her childhood years, Subaşı explained her sensitivity on this subject with clear expressions.

"I HAVE BEEN PRAYING AND READING THE QURAN SINCE I WAS 10"

Stating that she has been performing prayers and reading the Quran since she was 10, Subaşı emphasized that her bond with worship is not something from the recent period.

Expressing that faith is an important part of her life, Subaşı said that this aspect of hers had not been known very much until now.

Subaşı was asked the question, "Who is your favorite prophet?" Subaşı gave the following answer to this question:

"This is a very deep question, really, but I know you ask these a lot. All of our prophets, of course, but I love Prophet Muhammad the most. Well, why? Because of his mercy and because he is very patient.

When I share the Quran that I read, why and how can it be perceived as a game regarding my spirituality? I have very close friends, some of them are in many religious groups; when we stay together, when they enter my room, for example, I am reading the Quran with a headscarf. Or I am praying. By the way, I have been sharing this for years.

You acted and perceived it as if I was sharing it only after these events. For example, we recently went to my aunt and uncle, and my aunt and uncle are Hajjis.

Such a beautiful conversation was going on; we are talking about religion, we are talking about politics, there is no such thing as gossip, but there is an incredible intelligence, an incredible conversation going on in our whole family and relatives. We were so beautiful, I mean, put a camera there and listen to us. That is how much I tell you."

SPIRITUAL POSTS INCREASED AFTER THE INVESTIGATION

It was noted that the religious-themed posts of Şeyma Subaşı, who also made the statement "You will hardly see my bikini photos and videos from now on" in recent days, have shown an increase, especially in the recent period.
