Legendary arabesque music artist Ferdi Tayfur has passed away at the age of 79 in the hospital where he was receiving treatment. The news of Tayfur's death due to organ failure has plunged the art world and his fans into mourning.

The master artist will be laid to rest at the Yeniköy Cemetery following a ceremony to be held today (January 4) at 12:00 PM at the Atatürk Cultural Center, and a funeral prayer to be held at the Levent Barbaros Hayrettin Paşa Mosque following the afternoon prayer.

Following the death of Ferdi Tayfur, all eyes turned to his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur, with whom he had been estranged for a long time.

Tuğçe Tayfur, who went to the Zincirlikuyu Morgue in the evening to see her father for the last time, collapsed.

It was heard that Tuğçe Tayfur, who suffered a crying fit, said, "You separated me from my father, my father has been left all alone here."

"HER TEARS DID NOT STOP FOR A MOMENT"

Tuğçe Tayfur's close friend Murat Uçmaz shared footage of Tuğçe on his social media account, stating, "My dear friend's tears did not stop for a moment. She is barely standing with the help of injections."

Ferdi Tayfur and his daughter Tuğçe Tayfur had most recently been in court due to a dispute they had during the summer months. Due to the surname crisis that erupted between the two, Tayfur did not attend his daughter's wedding and did not go to see his first grandchild.
