Singer Şimal shares MRI results: 'We were able to freeze the tumor'

Şimal, who is undergoing cancer treatment, announced her health status and the MRI results that came out a few days ago.

Şimal had overcome the breast cancer she was diagnosed with in 2022 following chemotherapy and radiotherapy, but learned she had a brain tumor during routine check-ups in January 2024 and underwent an 8-hour operation.

'THE WHOLE FAMILY IS DEVASTATED'

The singer, who announced last August that she had cancer again, had stated, "The whole family is devastated; just when we thought we had recovered, it happened again... In short, unfortunately, this disease has caught me once more. This time, it metastasized to my meninges. The thing that makes us happy is that we caught it early. As always, I will be waiting for your prayers."

'I AM NOT WELL, I AM TIRED NOW'

Stating that she has lost a lot of weight because she cannot eat and that she sleeps constantly to rest, Şimal had written the message, "I haven't been well psychologically for weeks. I think I'm tired now. My blood pressure is low, I can't eat. That's why I've lost a lot of weight. I'm sleeping constantly. May God give patience to all patients. It's so hard. I read your messages a little while ago and I apologize for making you worry. Once I get better, you'll get tired of my posts. Take very good care of yourselves."

'WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO HALT THE ONE ON THE MENINGES'

Şimal provided new information about her health status via her Instagram account.

Sharing her MRI results with her fans, the singer said, "My MRI results came out a few days ago, but we spent very stressful days as a family until they did. Our radiology professor said, 'The result is stable.' Thank God, we have been able to freeze the one on the meninges. Hopefully, there will be regression, and it will disappear. Prayers, prayers, prayers... I have no other request. You are my strength."
