The key to happiness has been found: It directly affects your mood!
A new study has revealed the positive effects of cleanliness on mood, productivity, and sleep quality.
We try various methods to lead a happy and healthy life; meditation, diets, exercise programs, and sometimes unusual trends. However, a recent study shows that the foundation of happiness lies in a much simpler habit.
While 71 percent of the study participants stated that a clean home positively affects their mood, 65 percent expressed that clean floors reduce their stress levels.
Cleaning supports not only physical but also mental well-being. 64 percent of the participants stated that they feel peace of mind in a clean environment, and one-fifth mentioned that it provides better sleep quality.
Another striking finding of the study is the effect of house cleaning on focus and productivity. 83 percent of the 1000 people surveyed stated that they are more productive and attentive after cleaning.
88 percent acknowledge that an organized living space increases mental clarity, reduces stress, and gives the person a sense of control and calm.
Organization and cleaning expert Nicola Lewis states that these findings align with her own observations: 'People not only notice the visual change after cleaning, but they also directly experience the emotional relief created by this environment.'
