Tips for healthy nail care
Healthy and well-groomed nails are important both aesthetically and for overall health. By discovering many key points from cleanliness to hydration, you can give your nails the care they deserve.
Tips for Healthy Nail Care
Even if you get manicures, you should consider the following tips to maintain healthy nails.
Make sure to keep your nails clean at all times, as bacteria may be the source of your nail problems. You should wash your hands frequently throughout the day with plenty of water and then dry them with a clean, cotton towel.
Nail care is of great importance after a gel polish application. You should take care to keep your nails moisturized. Avoid damaging your nails when removing polish. Additionally, stay away from hot water and apply a mask to your hands.
Trimming your nails regularly is also important. This contributes to your nails growing in a healthy way. You should ensure that all your nails are straight and of equal length.
How to perform nail care at home?
You can achieve strong nails by using materials you have at home. Some people may take the time to go for a manicure. However, a manicure alone is not enough. In addition to this, you need to keep your nails moisturized frequently. So, how is nail care performed and what are the points that need to be considered?
Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar helps soften cuticles. It strengthens them and accelerates their growth. Add a spoonful of apple cider vinegar to a glass of warm water and wait for a few minutes. Then, wash your hands thoroughly. You can repeat this regularly until you are satisfied with the results.
Oregano oil
Oregano oil has antibacterial properties. You can use oregano oil as an alternative to tea tree oil to protect your nails. If you have a nail fungus problem, gently rub your nails with a cotton ball soaked in oregano oil.
Lemon juice and baking soda
To whiten your nails, apply lemon juice with a cotton ball and let it sit for 10 minutes. If you want a deeper treatment, mix lemon juice and baking soda until it forms a paste, and apply it to your nails using a toothbrush. After waiting 10 minutes, wash your nails.
Cucumber
If your nails break frequently, you can soak them in cucumber juice for 5 minutes to solve this problem. Cucumber is rich in vitamins A, E, B1, B2, B3, and C, as well as calcium and iron. These vitamins and minerals help nourish your nails and prevent them from breaking.
Honey and Egg Yolk
If you want to prevent your nails from being ruined, you should use a mixture of honey and egg yolk regularly. Egg yolk contains vitamin A. This helps strengthen your brittle nails. Mix one teaspoon of honey and one egg yolk thoroughly in a bowl. Apply this mixture to your nails and the surrounding skin. You can leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash it off.
