The high prices in Bodrum, one of the most preferred destinations for summer vacations, continue to be a hot topic.

In a post on his X account, director and screenwriter Gani Müjde pointed out that while the streets of Bodrum are crowded, the venues are empty, and he reacted to the exorbitant prices.

"Bodrum is experiencing the painful experiment of where an economy with a broken drawstring will end up on a micro scale" said Müjde, and used the following expressions:

* 800 TL parking fees.

* The middle class, who have summer houses and eat at home but cannot go to restaurants.

* 20,000 TL bills paid at ordinary kebab restaurants. I'm not even counting the fish restaurants.

* Empty but expensive accommodation options.

* Beach clubs with expensive entrance fees where the music is blasted until evening and only the waiters are having fun.

* Packed municipal beaches.

* Cancelled concerts.

* Crowded streets, empty venues.

* Let July pass, if stagflation is going to start, it starts here, let me tell you...

THE MAYOR HAD CALLED IT A 'PERCEPTION OPERATION'

Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci had claimed that the comments suggesting Bodrum is expensive were a 'perception operation'.

As a guest on Buket Güler's program on Halk TV, Bodrum Mayor Tamer Mandalinci had made notable statements regarding the prices in Bodrum. Mandalinci "Saying that Bodrum is very expensive is entirely a perception operation." he had said.
